NZ-wide battery delivery changes/update 2024
Batteries are now largely deemed Dangerous Goods, so freight costs vary dramatically on the type of battery and the recipients location.
When you Checkout your order will be processed by a Newlands staff member who will contact you to arrange the best delivery options for your needs and budget.
In some cases, customers may be close to an affiliated supplier within our nation-wide network, in which case we can often offer a collection point or much cheaper freight price.

If you would prefer a delivery quote before progressing with the Checkout please use our online enquiry form or phone 0800 200 150 and we will arrange a quote ASAP.
Outlet pick up
Obviously it is free to collect a battery or any item from this website from one of our OUTLETS during normal office hours.
Please note that some items may be sourced from another Newlands branch which may take 1-2 days. Our team will let you know ASAP following your order.

Battery Installation
In most cases vehicle battery installation at a Batteryshop outlet is free-of-charge also. In some unusual cases a charge may be incurred – we will let you know via phone when we receive your order if this may be the case. If the additional charge is an issue the order can be cancelled with a full refund.
Sorry, no PO Box deliveries
Many of our products are heavy, or bulky, or classified as dangerous goods and this means we cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Please only provide a physical home or business address for your goods to be sent to.
Dangerous goods deliveries
Wet Flooded Car, Truck, Deep Cycle, Motorbike and Jet ski batteries are considered Dangerous Goods.
We only use accredited dangerous goods carriers to deliver them safely. Due to this it may take one or two days longer to deliver your items, than non-dangerous goods carriers. Please contact us if you require alternative delivery options.
Rural Deliveries for Dangerous Goods may incur a surcharge.
